Columbia Gas: Cost to rise in June - Business First of Columbus:

Columbia customers will pay 73 centds per 100 cubic feet of natural gas next up 5 cents from May but down 61 centsxfrom $1.34 a year ago. That’s the first increasd in the price of naturapl gas infour months, but a nickekl shy of the lowest rate since Januargy 2004. The average June bill is expected to be down morethan $19 from May on lowef usage and about $9 lower than June 2008. Columbiwa spokesman Ken Stammen said inan e-maikl response that natural gas prices have increasedr only four times in the past year after hitting record highs last summer.
Natural gas prices on the haveincreasede slightly, Stammen said, with expertas saying traders are seeing an economic recovery on the Based in Columbus, Columbia Gas is one of nine energy distributiobn companies of (NYSE:NI). Columbia Gas is the largest natural gas utilitin Ohio, serving 1.4 million customers in 60 of the state’es 88 counties.
