Polsinelli Shughart law firm moving to LoDo - Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal:

The firm confirmed Friday that its local office is relocatinhg to the newly built 1515 Wynkoop offic e building on Wynkoop Streetf in LowerDowntown Denver. The Kansas City-base firm’s Denver branch currently is locateein downtown’s Independence Plaza at 1050 17th St. The firm’s Denver office has leased roughly 38,000 square feet of spacre at itsnew location, with an option to grow. The move is planner for September 2009.

LEED is the U.S. Green Building Council’s designation for sustainable design. Polsinelli Shughart was created in Februaryu by the merger of Kansas City law firmzs ShughartThomson & Kilroy PC and Polsinelli Shalto Flanigan Suelthaus PC. The leases of several major law firms, either basexd in metro Denver or withlocal branches, are expirinv this year. While some firmsx are renewing leases where theyalreaduy are, others are relocating. LLP, Colorado’s largest law firm, planw to move its southeasgt suburban office in August tothe transit-oriented, “green” Villagew Center Station project now under construction. The branch currentlu is located at8390 E.
Crescent Parkwayh in the Denver Tech Holland & Hart’s headquarters office remainw at 555 17th Street in downtown Denver. Earlier this year, LLP relocatedr to the new 1400 Wewatt a office building in LoDo from OneTabor Center. LLC recently renewed its 56,000-square-foot lease on the top three floorse of One Tabor Center for 11more years. The law firm was the firs tenant to commit tothe building, which openee in 1985. Denver’s 1515 Wynkoop building, developed by Houston-based Hinee Interests LP, broke ground in 2007. The eight-story office building with retail space was completexthis spring.
Other tenants in the new building, which is pre-certified for LEED Silve designation, include the Van Gilder Insurance Corp.’s
