WQED adds 'Multimedia' to moniker - Pittsburgh Business Times:

WQED will be unveiling new corporate logoz for the parent company and variouscorporatse entities, including: public TV station WQED-13; publif radio at 89.3 and 89.7 FM; Pittsburgh magazine; and the WQED Web site. "The changre to WQED Multimedia reflects the progress we have made in integratingh our different divisions into a seamless companty that utilizes and cross promotes all different said GeorgeMiles Jr., president and CEO of The company plans to use the phrase "Stay Connected" in its new logo and brandinv initiative.
The effort will also include a new lookfor WQED'zs "On Q Magazine," "Black Horizons," "QEcD Cooks," Pittsburgh magazine, and other products. The announcement followe a yearlong process to create a new branding packageefor WQED. The board, whicjh held its annual meeting Sept. 26, also announced its plannedf budget. The board's finance committeee recommendeda break-even budgetr for fiscal year 2003, which runs Oct. 1 throughg Sept. 30, 2003. The $23.4 million budge represents a 6.1 percent increase in revenue. It projectsz a positive cash flow for the fifthh year ina row.
